Lt - Online Physiology Software & Life Science Lessons

Engage students with life science labs and lessons.

Lt is an online learning platform with ready-to-use content for life sciences, nursing, and medicine.

Over 500 interactive and fully customizable life science lessons for active learning, whether you’re teaching in the lab or remotely.

Customizable Life Science Labs and Lessons

Our high-quality life science labs and lessons streamline your courses.

Science teachers can fully customize ready-made lessons on topics such as cellular biology, body systems, and pharmacology. Peer into the world of living things and analyze life cycles using yeast populations; cell structures via microscopy; and cellular respiration and photosynthesis in our Lt Biology Collection.

For those interested in the human body, Lt’s Anatomy Collection is a complete curriculum which provides students with interactive system-based modules on topics ranging from the digestive system to the respiratory system.

Our Animal Physiology Collection permits the study of both vertebrates and invertebrates, expanding the animal systems that students are exposed to.

The Lt Chemistry Collection is a comprehensive set of introductory chemistry laboratory experiments.

Our science experiments are designed to suit various student needs, and include adaptations like optional extension activities. Our life science resources are highly interactive and include automatically-graded assessments.

Get rid of old-fashioned paper worksheets and take your science class online!

Students learn anywhere, anytime

LT for Students learn anywhere

Students learn anywhere, anytimeLt’s cloud-based technology lets students prepare for class and revise their course material anywhere and anytime that suits their learning.

Lessons will be resized and optimized to look great and function perfectly.

Content and Videos

Lt has over 500 fully editable lessons. These include videos of lab protocols and procedures, as well as video interviews that track a real life patient throughout their treatment.

LT Content and Videos

Authoring and Customizing Content

Easily edit, share, and update our content or create your own in real-time, wherever and whenever you need.

Drag-and-drop a range of content types including video, audio, images, quizzes and text directly into your lessons.

Data Acquisition and Example Data

Using real biological data deepens student engagement, whether teaching in-person or by remote.

Students record signals from their own body in the lab environment, or access Lt’s built-in example data for their online learning.

Interactive Questions and Answers

Easily create and deliver a variety of interactive labs and lessons.

Select from 30+ panel types including multiple choice questions, tables & graphs, image annotation, and more.

Software Features

Lessons

Lt makes it easy to author beautiful and interactive lessons. Lessons can be anything from a tutorial, lecture, presentation, lab, assessment, or even an exam.

Each lesson is filled with different panel types that allow you to add in information, questions, and multimedia aids to get your students engaged in the material. Lessons can be stand-alone or grouped together into modules.

Modul

Multiple lessons can be bundled together into a Module to publish to students. This allows you to control the lesson completion order.

Authoring

Each time a lesson is edited a revision is recorded so you can see who has worked on the lesson, view previous revisions, add comments if you’ve reached a milestone, or even restore an older version if needed.

Question Panel Types

Lt has standard Text Question and Multi-Choice questions, as well as Label Image, Upload and Annotate Image, Categories, Table Questions, and Drag and Drop questions to allow you to teach the way you want to teach.

Mix and match panels to make engaging, memorable lessons!

Drag and Drop content

Create lessons quickly using Lt’s drag and drop feature. You can drag text and images from existing resources and drop them in Lt to create different questions and even tables.

Panels can be easily moved around so that your page always looks beautiful.

PowerLab Data Acquisition

Lt allows you to add custom LabChart settings files to Data Sampling or Scope Sampling panels so that students can record live physiological data, or you can provide Read-only Data for your students to analyze.

Lt has built-in presets for various applications including EMG, Blood Pressure, ECG, Spirometry flow and volume, and Pulse and heart rate.

Data Analysis

Students can use the region selector, point selector, marker, and value panels to analyze their recorded data.

Tables and graphs

Students can enter data into tables or spreadsheets and choose how to plot this data on graphs, or you can present information yourself to create beautiful Bar, Line, or Scatter Graphs.

Group Work

Lessons can be set to allow groups of students to log in and complete the lesson together.

If they don’t commit the lesson they will be able to log in individually later to edit their answers.

Student Management

Students can be added individually, through .csv import or via LMS integration.

Once added and organized into sections you can choose to send the invites when you’re ready. You can export entire student lists or get student emails by section.

Sections

Sort your students into Sections so that you can further control access to published content, and for graders to see specific students’ work.

Timed Availability

You can set the availability of Lessons and Modules so that students can access the lesson between set times.

Grading

Student answers can be easily graded using auto-graded question types or with quick and easy manual grading. The grading options are flexible, yet very easy to use. You can add notes and model answers for your graders that appear alongside each student’s answer.

The Lt grading matrix allows you to quickly see which questions need to be graded and the students’ total grade.

Analytics

View live analytics for each lesson to see how long your students spend in a lesson, how many times they checked question answers, and how much of a video they watched.

The student progress dashboard shows lesson progress and individual student progress.

Access

Lt is cloud-based so users can log in from anywhere with an internet connection.

Students can even use their mobile devices to work on their lessons on the go.

Multimedia Panels

Video and Audio files can be added to make your lessons richer. Add images and closed caption files to your videos too.

Notebook

You can add notebook panels for students to record notes throughout the lesson.

Layers of Content

Lt allows you to add extra information for those students who need it via the Background page, or you can add more information to selected text using popups.

Report Page

Completion pages can be added to the end of lessons if you want your students to Complete or Commit their work. Selecting Show report turns this page into a Report page with all of the questions listed by page.

If PDF grading is enabled, students are able to download a PDF of the report, or email this to a selected recipient.

Example Data

Lessons in Lt include pre-recorded sample data that your students can access for their practical lab work.

This is especially useful when teaching remotely, online, or in a class or lab that doesn’t have data recording capabilities.
