List of Signal Conditioners

ADInstruments Bridge Amps are single-channel or multi-channel, non-isolated bridge amplifiers designed to allow a C Series Front End Interface or traditional PowerLab to connect to most DC bridge transducers.

Suitable for general temperature measurements in the range 0-50°C using either Thermocouple or Temperature Probes.

Software-controlled, constant-current stimulators designed to work with a C Series Front End Interface or traditional PowerLab (purchased separately) for direct or field stimulation of in vitro tissue samples. Additionally, the isolated stimulator option can also be used for in vivo animal and human studies involving nerve and muscle stimulation.

The Spirometer is a precision differential pressure transducer for measurements of respiration flow rates. ADInstruments provides spirometry accessories for a range of respiratory experiments.

A fully isolated galvanic skin response (GSR) amplifier with low voltage, 75 Hz AC excitation and automatic zeroing. The GSR equipment is designed to work with a C Series Front End Interface or traditional PowerLab data acquisition system to measure human GSR, now known as electrodermal activity (EDA). The low-voltage AC excitation reduces the electrode polarization artifacts found in DC systems.

Oximeter Pods are used for the non-invasive measurement of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) in human and animals. Oximeter Pods plug directly into a PowerLab Pod Port or a Pod Expander.

The Spirometer Pod is ideal for teaching, which provides entry level human respiratory flow measurements using an appropriate respiratory flow head and PowerLab data acquisition system.

A low-cost signal conditioner designed to work with bridge-type transducers and PowerLab data acquisition systems. The Bridge Pod provides a stable +2.5 V excitation source for full-bridge strain-gauge transducers. A 300 Hz low-pass filter is built-in to reduce signal noise and a manual DC offset adjustment is provided.

A fully-isolated blood pressure amplifier approved for human connection and designed to interface with a C Series Front End Interface or traditional PowerLab data acqusition device.

Galvanically isolated, high-performance differential biological amplifiers optimized for measuring a wide variety of biological signals such as ECG / EKG, EMG, EOG, and EEG, with high-quality noise specifications and a range of filter settings.

For use with T-type thermocouples in the determination of cardiac output using the thermodilution technique.

The EOG Pod utilizes the steady corneal-retinal potential in the detection of eye movement and position. The pod can also be used for EEG or EGG recordings.

The Light Meter Pod is supplied with the Light Meter Probe and is used for monitoring light intensity (200 lux – 200 klux).

The pH Amp is a dual front-end suitable for use with pH, ion-selective and potentiometric redox electrodes and is designed to work with a C Series Front End Interface or traditional PowerLab.

The pH Pod is a high input impedance amplifier suitable for connection to combination pH or Redox electrodes. The pH Pod is suitable for monitoring pH or other potentiometric signals.

The Pod Expander is a front-end designed to provide Pod support on MacLab and PowerLab models that do not have built-in Pod connections. It provides 4 Pod inputs and is compatible with all Pod models.

Used with conductivity cells for monitoring solution conductance. The Pod measures the alternating current across a suitable conductivity cell by applying an AC potential across the pair of platinum plate electrodes that comprise the cell. The output is proportional to the conductivity of the solution. The signal is scaled to read in µS or mS, depending on the range, 5 µS to 20 mS, selected.

The Neuro Amp EX is a front-end device that extends the capabilities of our PowerLab data acquisition system options to record nerve activity using the microneurographic technique. As a low noise and high gain device, it is ideal for all recording environments requiring a wide bandwidth (100 Hz to 5 kHz) and a high signal to noise ratio.

The Human NIBP Nano Interface is required to connect the Human NIBP Nano Wrist Unit to a computer running LabChart. The interface connects to AC Power and USB at the rear and directly to the Wrist Unit at the front.
